When Cathy Gravelle wanted real world knowledge in real world time, she turned to University of Waterloo’s Professional Development Department and was quite pleased with the results.

Kevin Mendoza (uWaterloo B.A.Sc. - Applied Science, '99) is just wrapping-up the last course to complete the Project Management Certificate. He says he chose uWaterloo not only because he is an alumnus, but also because of the significant discount offered to alumni - which was an incentive to take more courses.
We recently had the opportunity to sit-down with Dayna Giorgio, Donor Relations and Communications Officer, KidsAbility Foundation and talk to her about her experiences with the uWaterloo Professional Development (PD) course offerings.
Ask Judy Carrick (BMath '73, Cert. PM) why she sought retraining from uWaterloo and she'll straighforwardly tell you "it's because of the format, practical, in-class approach, and condensed timeframe in which a certificate can be completed."

Over several months, I took several courses that led to the certification and I am fully prepared to write my PMP® certification exam this year. (Read more...)
